Pile Drivers drive steel, concrete or wood pilings that hold back earth during construction excavation, and anchor the foundations for structures, including tall buildings, sound wall barriers, embankments, highways, bridges, docks and wharves. Many Pile Drivers are certified Welders and some are commercial Scuba Divers who work on underwater construction projects.

Pile Drivers typically:

  • inspect job sites and materials
  • determine load capacities of piling material
  • gauge hammer performance
  • install piles to accommodate lateral, compression or tension loads
