Glaziers cut, fit, install and replace glass on exterior walls of buildings and other structures, and in furniture and other products. They may also prepare and install skylights, aquariums and stained glass windows, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealants.

These tradespeople typically:

  • read and interpret blueprints
  • prepare cost estimates
  • fabricate metal frames for glass installation
  • measure, mark, cut and tint glass
  • assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products

Glaziers are employed on residential, commercial and industrial construction projects.
